I noticed that salad recipes are not among the top viewed recipes on my blog although people always ask me for healthy recipes, yet the “all cream … all cheese” recipes are the most viewed hahaha. But, I will never give up because if you give yourself the chance/time to create a nice bowl of salad, I am sure you will be addicted to salads, just like me.

HAWAWSHI: OVEN BAKED MEAT SANDWICHES

HAWAWSHI! I am cooking today one of the most classical Egyptian street food; using a super easy recipe that is lighter & tastier than any store bought alternative.

First of all, I am using lean meat which I know is not common in making Hawawshi as FAT is one of the key ingredients. But I was able to create the same juiciness of street bought hawawshi by using cream cheese & oil instead of FAT. I never thought the day would come when I would share a pizza dough recipe! First, I hate working with yeast & second I always believed that pizza should never be made at home! But things change & so do I.

If you have been following my blog recently, you would notice a slight shift in my cooking approach. It’s not that I am going healthy as you will never find words like “gluten free” & “vegan” on my blog but I am trying to find lighter versions of the food I love!

This doesn’t mean that you won’t find chocolate-y & creamy recipes here but I started to believe that a “balance” is always required to maintain a healthy diet & a decent jeans size :)
