I know I haven’t been posting a lot lately but since the kids took their summer break, I am literally going crazy; I lost count of days, probably even months. So I believe it is time to take my annual vacation, pack everything, take the kids & just get out of the city. Unfortunately, I will take time off the blog too for about 1 month as I won’t have access to my laptop. Continue reading “ASIAN BAKED CHICKEN”

BEEF STIR FRY WITH OYSTER SAUCE
Although I am a huge fan of Asian food & I cook Chinese (specifically) not less than twice a week, I just realized that I have only one Asian recipe on my blog. How come, I don’t know! I am sorry guys, more Chinese food I promise!
If you love Beef Teriyaki, go check the recipe I posted a year ago & you will love me forever. As for now, let me tell you about this oyster sauce! It is SPOT ON; sweet & tangy yet not one of them is over powering! It sounds like a complicated sauce yet it is way too easy that you won’t believe you prepared the dish in no time.
CHOCOLATE FUDGE MINI CAKES
It’s Christmas time again!
Baking cookies, preparing delicious food & bringing the whole family together! Is there any better dessert to bring to your Christmas dinner other than chocolate; especially when it is those cute little fudge cakes?
ZUCCHINI CREAM SOUP
The series of winter soups continues …
When I have guests over & they know I am making zucchini soup, I see an immediate frown on their face! Probably what comes to their mind is the diet version of boiled zucchini in tasteless water but when I serve my beautiful phosphoric green soup & they taste it, they don’t stop.
FRIED MEATBALLS
I have my freezer stacked with all kinds of meatballs! They are “life savior”; when you are busy or lazy to cook, you just get them out of the freezer, cook & lunch is served in no time! Once a month, I buy about 3-4 kilos of minced meat, mix each kilo with spices & herbs, shape into balls & freeze!
INDIAN CHICKEN SKEWERS
There is nothing more creative in the kitchen than working around with spices. You simply toss spices with different tastes, textures & origins to create a totally new flavor.
Since I have Indian blood in my family, Indian spices are a staple in my kitchen. I love how spicy yet sweet & deep they are.
ROASTED PEPPER MUSHROOM PASTA SAUCE
Roasting has been my favorite “go to” technique for cooking veggies; it caramelizes the sugar in the veggies, creating a delicious crispy exterior with a creamy interior. Besides you get the oven to do all the work, while you indulge in the food.
Roasting peppers is a story of its own! Ever since I discovered roasted peppers & my fridge/freezer are always stacked with piles of them!
BAKED PUMPKIN WITH BECHAMEL
As promised, pumpkin pumpkin recipes every week :)
One of the best pumpkin recipes in the whole world. There might be pumpkin cake, pie, pudding, cake .. you name it but still this old fashioned baked pumpkin with bechamel remains the top of all pumpkin desserts!
Soft, sweet & buttery roasted pumpkin cubes are topped with a creamy layer of bechamel & baked until golden & all bubbly.
PUMPKIN FRENCH TOAST
It seems that this is the year of discovering new tastes & falling in love with them!
I hated pumpkin all my life whether sweet or savory; I just found it too bland for me. Ever since I started blogging, I noticed the hype that happens in the blog world around pumpkin season. Everybody & I mean everybody is posting pumpkin recipes all over the world! I felt the urge to give it a new try; it doesn’t make sense that all the world loves pumpkin except for me!
EASIEST TENDER CHICKEN PANEE
I lived in my mother’s house almost deprived of anything fried for 2 main reasons. First, she always hated the 3 steps of coating; flour then egg then breadcrumbs. Second, she hated the process of frying more than anything in the world.
